Danny DeVito believes Arnold Schwarzenegger made a significant mistake when he chose a political career over continuing his work in film. In a recent interview with GQ, DeVito joked about Schwarzenegger’s decision, saying, “Arnold and I want to work together. We missed Twins 2, because he became governor — which, he should have done Twins 2 instead of becoming governor.” Despite this missed opportunity, DeVito mentioned that they are currently discussing a new project, unrelated to Twins.
DeVito emphasized the strong friendship and chemistry between them, adding, “No, it’s just two friends, two guys, because we have a good time together. We complement each other in a lot of ways. I am way stronger than he is.”
Additionally, DeVito shared that he and Billy Crystal had once considered a sequel to their 1987 comedy Throw Momma From the Train, tentatively titled Throw Papa From the Train. Although this project hasn’t progressed, DeVito expressed optimism about future collaborations, noting that he and Crystal still “want to work together again” someday.
