If you always wear eyeglasses and sunglasses, there’s a good chance the lenses will get scratched. Leaving them in your bag with your car keys or any pointed object may be the reason for these scratches. But do not worry! There’s a simple trick to make your old eyeglasses look new again.
I came across this trick on YouTube and decided to try it on an old pair of glasses I was about to throw away. The results were amazing! Here’s how you can do it too:
Materials Needed:
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- White toothpaste
- Old toothbrush
- Small container
- Clean dry cloth
Instructions:
- Prepare the Mixture: Combine baking soda, vinegar, and white toothpaste in a small container. Mix until well combined.
- Apply the Mixture: Lightly scrub the mixture onto the lenses using an old toothbrush. Be gentle to avoid causing more scratches.
- Let It Soak: Allow the mixture to sit on the lenses for a couple of minutes.
- Wipe Off: Wipe off the mixture with a clean dry cloth.
That’s it! Your glasses should look much better. Give it a try with your glasses too and see the transformation for yourself.
Step 2:
Dip the toothbrush into the mixture, then lightly scrub it to the scratched part. Make sure to get some baking soda. Set it aside and let the mixture sit for about five minutes.
Step 3:
Wipe the mixture dry using a clean cloth. You can wipe it with a damp cloth if there is residue. If there are still visible scratches, repeat the process again.
