Bruce Willis and Emma Heming have been wed for well over a decade. Heming is keeping her promise to marry in sickness and in health despite the fact that the celebrity has been given the diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.
She can’t help but go back on certain memories of Bruce from when he was healthier, though.
After learning that her spouse had frontotemporal dementia, Emma Heming continued on. In order to ensure that her husband gets the greatest care possible, the former model is collaborating with dementia experts.
She recently posted a photo on Instagram featuring herself and Teepa Snow, an expert in helping families cope with dementia. Heming mentioned that Snow is equipping her with more tools for her “dementia care toolbox” by teaching her new skills.
The Untold Story of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’s 11-Year Marriage Despite his severe condition, Bruce Willis heroically performs in the “Detective Knight” teaser. Aphasia has taken a toll, and Bruce Willis’s daughter has penned a poignant passage about her father’s declining health. Heming is clearly dedicated to providing her husband with the best care possible. This week, she discovered Instagram’s new feature that shows memories of previously posted photos or videos. Heming was reminded of a tribute she had posted for her husband on Twitter a year ago.
She reposted the video with a new caption: “What’s this new Memory thingy on IG!? Omg, my biggest fan. I’m in love with him.”
The video highlights Bruce’s passion for his wife’s skincare line, Cocobaba. It’s clear that Heming may be reminiscing about a time when Willis was in better health than he is now.
Recently, images of Bruce Willis out and about in Los Angeles, enjoying a coffee, surfaced online. Since receiving his initial aphasia diagnosis, Willis has maintained a low profile, making this sighting quite unusual.
The family has been very open and transparent about Bruce’s health and diagnosis. They previously shared a message on Instagram explaining his situation. “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support, and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis,” wrote his daughter Rumer Willis in a letter.
She continued, “In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father, and friend as we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.
“Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, his condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”
Despite the challenges, the family expressed gratitude that Willis had finally received an accurate diagnosis.
Actor Bruce Willis apparently struggled with his deteriorating cognitive abilities, so directors who had previously worked with him reportedly tried to make things as simple as possible for the actor.
The cast and crew of the last film the actor is scheduled to perform in, White Elephant, claim that they would “feed” him lines, and sometimes he would not even understand the words, only mimicking what he had been told.
A crew member later commented on the situation saying, “It was less of an annoyance and more like: ‘How do we not make Bruce look bad?’
“Someone would give him a line and he didn’t understand what it meant. He was just being puppeted.”
We are sending the Willis family our best wishes as they navigate this difficult time. Please join us in sending them your thoughts and prayers.
