Christy Martin’s career, which spanned from 1989 to 2012, saw her achieving a record of 49-7-3 and becoming a trailblazer in the sport. She was the first female boxer inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in 2016 and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020. Martin’s life also includes surviving a brutal attack by her husband in 2010, for which he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The film, currently untitled, will delve into Martin’s remarkable career and her personal battles, with filming set to commence in the United States this fall. The project will be presented to potential buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.
