Following the passing of his mother Lauren Bacall in August, there is some happy news for Stephen Bogart. The 66-year-old, the only son of screen legends Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, is set to get married in November.
Lauren Bacall and her eldest child, Stephen Bogart, have some joyful news amidst their recent loss. Producer and writer Stephen Bogart will marry Carla Soviero in New York City towards the end of the year, a ceremony he was planning when his mother passed away on August 12.
Stephen shared with the New York Post that he was heartbroken his mother couldn’t be there. “It’s my third marriage, her second. I knew Carla long ago, but we separated and reconnected. I’m 66, she’s 60,” he said. His sister Leslie Bacall will be flying in from LA, and his half-brother Sam Robards will be coming from Denmark.

Stephen is the eldest child of Lauren Bacall. Lauren married Humphrey Bogart in 1945 when she was 20 and he was 45. They had two children: Stephen, born in 1949, and Leslie, born in 1952. Humphrey Bogart passed away in 1957. Lauren later married actor Jason Robards Jr. in 1961, and they had a son, Sam, before divorcing in 1969.
